Please contact for in-person/or home-studio recordings, based in Wimbledon. Dae can provide raw or mixed stems as well as having access to VSTs such as Superior Drummer 3. He is also a capable bassist, guitarist and pianist, so can track live rhythm section on top of virtual instruments.
BIOGRAPHY
Dae Lee is a drummer, percussionist and educator. He has worked with musicians and entertainers such as George Fenton, Tom Chaplin (Keane), Craig Revel-Horwood, Mike Batt (Wombles), Melody Thornton (Pussycat Dolls), EDBL, The Definitive Rat Pack, Ruthie Henshall, Bob Chilcott, Brian Blessed, Craig Revel Horwood, Shane Ritchie, Mike Batt, Brenda Edwards (XFactor), John Archer (BGT), Leslie Garrett, the London Swing Orchestra, National Youth Jazz Orchestra (ambassador), Thomas Adès, Dick and Dom, Don Broco, Nico Muhly, Hannah Lowther (TikTok), Pete Firman, Ian Talbot OBE, Malory Torr, Byron Wallen, Thierry Pécou, and has also performed for Queen Elizabeth II. His contributions to various albums has seen individual tracks rank no. 1 on the UK Jazz charts on numerous occasions.
Venues and studio work include Abbey Road Studios, Blue Note Tokyo, Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Love Supreme Jazz Festival (Yamaha Tent), Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, O2 Indigo, Pizza Express Jazz Club (Dean Street, Pheasantry, Birmingham, Maidenhead), Beijing Concert Hall, Budapest Jazz Club, BBC Hyde Park Festival, Livingston Studios, and Metropolis Studios. Dae has also worked for labels such as Universal Music Group (Earth Orchestra) and Decca Records (The Boy Downstairs: Netflix).
Dae has toured countries in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East.
Theatre work involves drum percussion for Xroads Pantomime at the New Wimbledon Theatre (2019 onwards), The Snow Gorilla (Bor Productions), Crazy For You tour (Swansea Grand Theatre, deputy), Fiddler on the Roof (Bristol Hippodrome), Elf (Woking, Rhoda Mcgaw), Veritas Entertainment (Rat Pack, Walk Like a Man, Disco), Twist and Shout (David Kettle), West Side Story (Bristol, MTB), Jewish Hollywood (Gatehouse, deputy), Down For the Count Concert Orchestra.
Music supervision roles involve East West Entertainment Group for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
Dae has been fortunate to have played alongside UK jazz greats such as Barry Forgie, Bill Geldard, and Ronnie Hughes. Dae has also led the award winning Bristol Hornstars, Thames Youth Jazz Orchestra and Reading University Big Band.
Alongside his performing career, Dae is an educator and band leader in educational establishments such as The Royal Ballet School (White Lodge) and University of Reading.
